Showtime U - September 30, 2026

It’s time for another edition of the Showtime U Blog, Protection United’s weekly in-season blog highlighting some of the best performances from the Protection United Crew. The Protection United athletes continue to ball out, giving us plenty to talk about, so check out some of the biggest stats from the most recent week of action!

Showtime U Stats

2029 Boerne Champion QB Ryder Flugence’s incredible start to the season continued against Austin Anderson as Flugence was 13/20 through the air and had 14 carries for 363 total yards and 7 total TDs. Flugence also saw time on the defensive side of the ball where he notched one sack and one forced fumble. Flugence and Champion HS will be back in action against Lockhart this week.

2028 New Waverly QB Ryson Nunez turned in another fantastic performance as he led his squad to a 5-0 non-district record while going 16/17 through the air and adding two carries for 208 total yards and seven total TDs. District play for Nunez and the Bulldogs begins this week against Woodville HS.

Tavis Coleman, class of 2027 QB from Shadow Creek HS, turned in a strong showing going 11/14 passing with 322 yards and six TDs. Next up for Coleman and Shadow Creek is a contest with Glenda Dawson HS this Friday.

2027 Klein Cain RB Eyan Johnson continues to produce at an impressive clip with eight carries for 104 yards and two TDs against Magnolia West. Johnson and Klein Cain play on Thursday night this week against Klein Collins.

Gifted 2027 WR Derrick McCullar II of Cypress Ranch continued his productive ways with four catches for 101 Yards and two TDs against Bridgeland HS. McCullar will look to continue to produce this week when Cy Ranch goes on the road to face George Ranch.

All Saints DT Kingston Beyer posted an incredible stat line against Gunter HS with eight tackles, 12 QB pressures, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble. Next up for Beyer and All Saints is a contest with Fort Worth Christian this Friday.

2027 Magnolia West DB / LB Dawson Campbell continued to be a menace on the defensive side of the ball with 16 tackles in his most recent action. Campbell leads his district in tackles and ranks sixth in the Lone Star State. Next up for Campbell and Mag West is a district matchup with Tomball High.

2028 DB TJ Stinson out of Clear Lake HS continues to produce on both sides of the ball as he had five catches for 30 yards on offense against Deer Park. On the defensive side of the ball, Stinson notched five tackles and one fumble recovery. Stinson and Clear Lake will be back in action this Friday against Clear Falls.

Tyce Hudson, 2027 Klein Collins RB, continued to be extremely efficient in action in Week Five against Klein Forest with four carries and five catches for 165 total yards and two TDs. Hudson and Klein Collins face Klein Cain this Friday.

Versatile 2027 RB Cash Ferrell of Magnolia did it all against Klein as he went 1/1 passing, toted the rock 15 times, and added six catches for 118 total yards and one TD. Ferrell and Magnolia are back in action on Friday against Klein Oak.
